Huge Turkey Tail Blade - #6-1
Size: 6 1/4" L x 1 7/8" W.
Provenance: Detailed provenance information shared with buyer. Inquire for details.
Condition: Excellent. One old ding at the side of the tip. Super minerals on this piece. Showy quartz bullseye. Cortex of the nodule showing on tip and base. Large percussion flake scars. Once a flint hits the 6" mark, it enters a different class.

Hornstone Cobbs Knife - #6-2
Size: So close to 6", I am calling it 6" L x 2 1/4” W. Yes, it is a beast.
Provenance: Henry County, Indiana. Story (unconfirmed) that it was found with the next piece #6-3. It is certainly plausible when you see them together. Patina doesn't lie....
Condition: Super. There area few dings on it, but nothing that detracts. What a monster! And it is huge, but it's best feature (my opinion) is that this piece has the golden patina for Hornstone. I am unaware of ever seeing this green and almost purple in places patina ever being on a fake artifact. I am convinced you can't fake it. And yes, this piece was grey hornstone when it was made 8000 years ago. In terms of form, this is a very early stage Cobbs knife. Only a slight bevel, and probably at it's original length. In terms of blades, what more do you want?

Hornstone Blade #2 - #6-3
Size: 5” L x 2 5/16" W
Provenance: Henry County, Indiana. Story (unconfirmed) that it was found with the previous piece #6-2. It is certainly plausible when you see them together.
Condition: Super. I would call this one first stage, and barely used. The patina can only be desbribed as dripping off this piece. So rich in color and texture. Big percussion flakes to shape this piece. It should be sold as a pair with the other one. Maybe I will cut a deal if both bought together.

Baby Blue Cobbs Blade - #6-4
Size: 4" long x 1 3/4" wide.
Provenance: Huron County, Ohio.
Condition: Super. Great patination that turned this Blue Coshocton into a very light shade that is almost white in places. Early stage Cobbs that lacks beveling as proof of it's little use. Hand Filler size.

Carter Cave Cobbs Knife - #6-5
Size: 4" long x 1 5/8" wide.
Provenance: Boone County, Kentucky.
Condition: Excellent. Super greasy Carter Cave with the great colors everyone loves about the material. Center of blade thicker than tip and base. I think the materials proved a bit difficult for the maker. You can see portions of what was a huge bullseye from this nodule. No brainer old. Top Midwest material.

Partially Unifaced Blade - #6-6
Size: 3 7/16" long x 1 1/2" wide.
Provenance: Found near Nova, Ashland County, Ohio by Levi Petershwin (Amish farmer).
Condition: Excellent. I would call this a square knife but for the rounded ends. Does that mean it isn't a square knife? No, square knives have some of the most variety of any prehistoric flint type. This one is interesting b/c it has unifacial areas on both faces. Delaware Chert. Much better piece in hand. Doesn't like to be photographed.

Killer Cobbs - #6-7
Size: 5" long x 1 3/4" wide.
Provenance: Super old writing says Stone Mt., Georgia.
Condition: Perfect. I can't say that I know much about Georgia relics/material, but I can say this is a seriously good Cobbs. Subtle colored tones with superior flaking and size. It is also no brainer old.

Giant Broken Blade - #6-8
Size: 5 1/2" L x 1 3/4" W.
Provenance: Collection found in Wayne and Crawford County, Ohio.
Condition: Broken. Superior manufacturer. Incredible size if whole. Had to be 7". One that is either worth restoring or just keeping as a heart breaker.

Archaic Blade - #6-9
Size: 4 1/2" L x 1 1/2" W
Provenance: Indiana.
Condition: Super. Not sure of material, but it is nice grade with a waxy skin. Pink/black swirl. It is my belief that this piece was hafted up to the last 1 1/2". There is a transition area that shows some extremely fine pressure flaking that says to me it was re-sharpened in the haft. This blade has great size, and condition.

Beautiful Unifacial Knife - #6-10
Size: 3 1/8” L x 1 1/2" W
Provenance: Found in Ballard County, Kentucky by Lyman Hussey Sr. in the 1950's.
Condition: Super. Want to know what gets my juices flowing? This. Completely unifaced on backside, and half unifaced on the top side. Cortex of flint worked into the design on a 45 degree bevel. Some nice edge flaking thrown in for good measure. I do think this piece is Fort Ancient despite the unifacial nature. I have found similar tools on late prehistoric sites. We called them "turtle backs". This one is as good as you will ever see for the type. I know touch to call something like this great, but I think it is.

Adena Cache Blade - #6-11
Size: 4" Long x 1 1/2" W.
Provenance: Find location unknown. No memory of where I received this. It does have a "38" in pencil on one side.
Condition: Excellent. Thinnish for the type. Great size. Well made. Good material, and plenty of minerals.

Archaic Knife - #6-12
Size: 4 3/8" L x 1 1/4" W
Provenance: Found Pilgrimville, Houghton County, Michigan in 1921 by. J. Stanton. Writing is contemporary to the 1921 date. And another good reason to label pieces responsibly.
Condtion: Excellent. Material has a distinctly quartz like appearance. Heavy water polish. A great relic with a 100 year find history.
